I would pick LSU as my preseason favorite to win the west.. returning QB, quality lines, etc... Arkie losses Mallet, Auburn loses Cam, Bama loses a lot of offensive production in Ingram, Julio and McElroy, plus Darius... So if you are good enough to win the west, you are good enough to win the SEC, and then you win the MNC......

This is my thought as well. We know preseaon doesn't mean anything, but if the SEC has won the MNC the last 5 years and the West has the stronger contenders, then whoever is picked to win the West should be legit.
