I think it was just posturing more than serious consideration. He ended up getting what he wanted out of LSU. Michigan went to him 2 different times asking him to come back and help the program and he rejected them. I could understand turning down your dream job once but not twice if you truly felt that way.

Most say that he wasn't offered the job the first time (2007).

I don't doubt his love and respect for his alma mater, but considering all the factors, including how his family feels (remember his kids don't necessarily have the same feeling toward Michigan that he has) he made a decision that was best for him and his family. He also recognized that it isn't just his decision alone. I respect the fact that he also realizes that he has other folks to think about in deciding his future plans. I think he listened twice to Michigan precisely because he has such strong respect for his alma mater and it still tugs at him. But after weighing all the factors, he decided that LSU was still best for him. I don't think the fact that he decided to stay at LSU at all diminishes his affection for Michigan, but having looked twice, he now knows that his dream job is where he is now.

that's right, you don't understand. you don't understand a lot of things. miles is a sincere guy and you don't understand that. miles loves LSU and you don't understand that. miles respects and loves his alma matar and owed them consideration and you don't understand that. miles is a family man and considering them in making his decision and you don't understand that. miles loves his players and they love him and you don't understand that. it appears to me that you are just a stupid shite that doesnt understand shite so you attempt to discount our coach and his love of LSU. why don't you go and not understand elsewhere.
