I think Dan Mullen is a decent gameday coach, but his inexperience really shows in recruiting. He'll have beaten us two years in a row and lost the in-state recruiting battle both times.

Mullen didn't lose the in-state recruiting battle in 2010. Out of the Scout 3 and 4-star Mississippi HS recruits, State got 9 on campus and Ole Miss got 5 on campus. And that's after back-to-back 9-win seasons by OM.

Mullen also clearly won the in-state recruiting battle in 2009.

If OM gets Brassell and Singleton, it's pretty clear that OM wins in-state this year, but MSU still fills our biggest needs--OL, TE, DT, DE, LB, and QB. We already have a lot of proven young WR talent, plus we are still getting 6'4" 4-star WR Joe Morrow. I'm still hoping for Singleton, I guess we will see on Saturday. If we lose CJ Johnson, though, then that would be huge.

rivals has him at 3 and I asked about that in another post. Seeing how LSU, Aub, Ark offered him, he should be pretty good player.

Our offense should be fine under Mullen. But I'm more concerned about having studs on defense in the SEC.

Morrow will play TE bud, and anyone that's ever
seen him play will tell you he's nothing special. You seriously need LB help and lost a sure state lock already to OM and your top recruit who happens to be a MLB. It looks like you're going to lose your top DL prospect and DB prospect. You had leans from 6 out of the 7 top players in the state and now you might not grab one of them. Downplay all you want but this blows for state and it's a shame after such a great season

We took three out of the top 6 in 2010. We got the better of the best players in the state.
