Has Ole Miss ever had a 1,000 yard receiver in the NFL?
The guy that tricked everyone into thinking that Jevan Snead was a good QB is only 54 yards away from 1,000 after racking up 102 on 7 catches against the Jets today.

two 9-4 seasons.
What's more ridiculous is that Orgeron only managed 3-9 with all that talent, and yes... Orgeron had every one of those players in 07.

i'm talking about in the SEC
outside of UF, Bama, and UGA there weren't any other quality teams in the conference. not to mention the wake forest loss. 10 years from now, we're going to look back and point out '08 as Hootie's biggest failure, not losing 3-4 in a row to MSU.

Mike Wallace is a fantasy stud. Hardly anyone knew of him when he was at Ole Miss.

why would we do that?
He took a team that went 3-9 the previous year to 9-4.
They had some growing pains early on, but you're talking about a bunch of kids who only knew how to lose.
The playcalling was great in 08. Hootie did nothing wrong that year.

Houston Nutt only cares about one game on his schedule. LSU.

c'mon, the teaching 'em how to win thing is a nice way to spin it for people who have never played sports. if you're the better team, you simply win. that's how sports are. there is no 'teaching' on how to win.
with that much NFL talent it's inexcusable to drop games to WF, Vandy, and USCe that year. you win those three and make a late surge in Tuscaloossa and you are in ATL for the 1st time ever. now who knows when that day will come. that's the most talented team in decades of Ole Miss football and they lost four games and went to a Cotton Bowl.

I traded for Mike Wallace and he has me in the Championship Game in my fantasy league.
The only Ole Miss WR I could think of that was close to getting 1,000 yds was Willie Green who played for Detroit and Carolina in the mid 90's. Wesley Walls was a TE but I know he was close to 1,000 receiving yds a season or two.

Vandy- 4 INT's and 2 fumbles by us.
USCe- 3-4 INT's by us.
Inexcusable, yes......but you can't fault the coach for that many turnovers.

I agree with a large portion of that

I have started Mike Wallace most games this season once Big Ben came back, but I decided to bench him this week in my semifinal game in favor of Joe Webb (playing QB but at the WR fantasy slot). I would have won it had I left Wallace in, but will now have to wait to see if Webb can get me 10 points in the frozen field.

We just didnt have a QB. We had an amazing offensive line with two big time WR that made Snead look good. If we had Masoli in 08 or 09 we could've had back to back west titles. Talented teams can win championships with subpar QB's, but not when they turn the ball over 2 to 3 times a game

what was the play call in those situations? were there poor routes run? did the RB carry the ball right? etc. there are lot more to turnovers than luck.

LSU won 10 games in a loaded west with NO passing game what so ever and an average RB. that's not much of an excuse. shite, MSU won 8 games this year with Relf and a bunch of freshmen/soph. receivers.

Slow down buddy. Unless you went undefeated in both 08 and 09, you would not beat out Bama for the West title in either of those years. Masoli is not the difference between 9 wins and undefeated.

The only one I remember is Dexter running towards me headed in the endzone and fumbling. I doubt anyone else remembers either. If you were a student at OM during the O years you learned to be absolutely shite faced by halftime so you wouldnt throw up watching our team play

Bama was the only team that beat us either year that was better than we were. The only team we didnt either give the game away or not come to play that day. We play our game and dont turn the ball over 4 times (snead) then we go 11-1 both years. Thats why I said we might have won back to back. Our D was lights out against yall last year. If we had a decent QB who knows. And the 08 game was mighty close too. You cant say that if we had Masoli both years that we woudnt atleast won one of them.
