I actually think this game will get pretty good ratings. The high powered offenses will make it an exciting shootout and the fact that both teams are from little known schools without a lot of tradition make this possibly more intriguing than the traditional matchups we are all used to. This game might be looked back upon as a generational shift in college football.

The execs at ESPN are probably cursing under their breath. Oregon comes from an area of the country that couldn't care less about CFB and Auburn is a traditionally irrelevant program that has pissed off most of the college football world. Ratings should drop hard from last season, just like the SECCG and the Heisman broadcasts

The only issue is that people may already be writing us off as clear winners, whereas last year it was a toss up. Thank God for Colt's shoulder or the SEC would have lost last year.

Dude just stop. Bama was favored over Texas by more than Auburn is favored over Oregon. There were articles written about how Texas felt slighted that the media was giving Bama the game before it was played. Bama was a heavy favorite in that game and according to the little flaming poll you posted, a heavy majority of the nation thinks Bama would have won the game with or without McCoy's injury.

Let's be honest, though, it was looking pretty damned close until Colt went down.... and by close I mean they were basically moving at will.

But more think Texas would've won with McCoy...

either way, an 18 year old freshman QB put up 21 pts...

yeah, one offensive series and what...4 plays? That always predicts the sucess an offense will have for the entire game.

No, but they clearly had a better shot with McCoy. You can't make the argument that they wouldn't have success late because they had it early.

You do not understand how to read a poll. 42% said Texas would have won with McCoy. The rest, in some form or another, said that Bama wins either way.

LOL, almost half the voters thought you would've lost with McCoy playing... that doesn't exude dominance... lol
