The BCS hasn't been around that long. It happened to coincide with BY FAR the best decade in LSU's history, arguably largely because of Nick Saban. In the 90s you guys were as mediocre as we were, and in the 60s, 70s, and 80s we were a very good football program.

Under Nutt our classes were mainly 2stars with a few 3stars mixed in.
Under Petrino were seeing high 3stars with a few more 4stars.

Spoiler? We expected to win, we weren't playing the spoiler.
And no we haven't won the SEC, yet. I truly believe as long as Petrino is here, that we will recruit like Tennessee did in the late 90's/ early 00's, nationally. We may not constantly be in the top 10 recruiting rankings, but we will be very close and I think Petrino can coach them with the best and being able to redshirt and learn more, we will be a regular contender.

I can honestly say that I have never seen an LSU fan try to pick a fight with another fan after a game. NEVER...and I've been to a TON of LSU games. So...I think there are some MAJOR behavioral differences there.
I can say that I've seen fellow LSU fans duke it out in the stands...particularly the student section.
It sounds like LR was the issue. I'd love to see a game in Fayetteville...but crap on little pebble!
Again, I hope like hell that the hawgs stomp the buckeyes...and congratulations on a great season....but don't count your chickens boys...we'll be ready for next year...as will the rest of the SEC...especially the West.
