All blown out by Oregon
Cal and a 10 point win at Arizona state are the only two games they didn't win by at least 3 touchdowns. That's pretty impressive for anyone in a BCS conference

One of which is an SEC team.
Try as you might to make it otherwise, UT (6-6) is not relative in this conversation as they are not representative of the SEC as a whole this year and the west for sure.
I mean shite man at least pick a team with a positive Win:Loss ratio.
This would be like me presenting Oregon State or Washington or Arizona State (all with 5-6 records) as being representative of the PAC-10.

Pac 10 football is not a good brand of football. Nobody this side of the mississippi is impressed.

As I look at this I see something totally different than most.
I would rank them
1a and 1b Oregon/Arkansas
2a and 2b USC/Bama
Of the four, Arky and Oregon have/had the best chance of just scoring at will... Auburn had no "mistakes" scoring 65 on Arkansas and gave up 43 (with 3 mistakes...big ones).
Bama and USC are "equally" tough but they dictate a different game and have/could be won using defense and not relying solely on the O to score every time Au has the ball.

Not the point. He used Oregon's opponents being crappy as part of his argument and when I said one of those crappy teams was an SEC team he said UT was relative to the conversation.

That being said if you remove UT from Oregon's schedule the winning percentage of their opponents goes down.

Vanderbilt would finish last in Pac 10 as well, so shut up about LSU.....
Oregon
Bama
S Carolina (because of Spurrier)
Arky

I thought that you were pointing out an SEC team in Oregon schedule to help explain why everyone was putting them at the top of this ranking, e.g. they play tougher teams.
I never thought a UT fan would point out them playing Oregon as a reason to support my point that their SOS is weak. If that was you intention then they are relevant to the conversation.

Any of the top 4 teams in the West and Scar could all beat Oregon. I'm not saying all would, but it would be a pick'em against all top 5 teams in the SEC this year.
No it wouldn't. Using a few ratings, Oregon would be favored by 5 Vs Auburn, by 6 over Alabama, by 7 over Arkansas, 8 over LSU and 11 over SC. All on a neutral field. Note that if these games were to happen the public perception would make the lines tighter for LSU, Alabama and Auburn; and the line would probably be bigger for Arkansas and SC.
That said Oregon's schedule has been a joke a this year and would be very challenged by those teams except SC, I think they would play tight the whole game then lose by like 20.

What the hell does Oklahoma know about beating the SEC in BCS games?

Nah. They'd finish 9th. Washington State is easily worse than Vandy -- which beat Ole Miss.
Meanwhile, Hogs beat South Carolina by 21 at Columbia (and it wasn't even that close) and you rank the Chickens ahead of the Hogs? Dude, at least pretend to have a clue. I can understand putting Bama ahead of us, but not the Chickens.

I do have a clue, and you beat them by 21. Congrats, but I would still take Spurrier in a big game over your Arky team. Congrats though!

At least we have a chance to be in a BCS game this year

I think Bama/Ark are about even and Oregon is probably a hair better than SC. Seriously I can't believe some of yall are buying the Oregon hype. They are going to get exposed in the NCG.
