Mikey - Great work and very interesting. Would you copy and paste in the "Plains" thread for those just hitting that thread for updates?

TIA

For what it's worth, I think it's the perception most fans have (and to a certain extent the Media) of NCAA and SEC ignoring certain bylaws that has everyone upset. The suspicions are based on the ability to easily connect the dots between Cecil being found to have created an infraction by the NCAA and the rationale of how Cecil would select Auburn over MSU and not discuss it with his son. Yet, the Reinstatement Committee based their ruling on the primary premise there was no knowledge by Cam or Auburn of the PFP scheme with MSU.

Looking back to precedent set by the NCAA, one of the reasons USC was hit so hard was although Reggie claimed not to know about the extra benefits being provided to his parents, he should have known. Applying that premise here, it's the statements before he actually committed to AU he was ALL MSU. There are public statements about how his father was in control of where he would attend. Obviously there must have been some conversation between he and his father on why he was going to Auburn. If he did not know, surely he SHOULD have known.

I think it's that, plus the perception it has to be all about the money for the SEC and NCAA that has most frustrated with this interim ruling. Just my thoughts.

Sure! And I'll condense some. Not proud of my convoluted writing, now that I looked at it a second time.
