Albert Means basically got fricked. That's the thing a lot of Auburn fans who cite him fail to look at. He didn't get paid. His family didn't get paid.
First three sentences are true. The last one is a blatant lie. Each asst got $40,000 and Means' mother received $30,000. All supposedly without Albert's knowledge.
frick Means' mother. frick Cecil Newton. Slave traders. Period.

Oh, I was actually unaware that his mother got anything. I know there was money changing hands with his old coaches and that he was just sort of sent like a lamb to the slaughter.
ETA: You might want to bone up on what, exactly, a "blatant lie" is. The "blatant" aspect indicates the intentional telling of an untruth. If the teller is unaware of a fact, that sort of fricks the whole "intentional" part of the theory up, doesn't it?
