The FBI was not invited in. They were in way before the fact

Google Bob Geddie, Auburn alum who was indicted in Oct because of FBI wiretaps. Has MAJOR TIES to Auburns foundation, as well as Pat Dye.

This is why the FBI is so quick to jump in on the Newtons.

If I google Paul Bear Bryant Junior and look I find out his company is under investigation for insurance fraud. Does that mean he's a lie and a cheat as well? Does that mean somewhere he funneled money to Bama players? A lot of lines you are drawing there.

Well-in this case the letter of the law will probably be followed because he gives Auburn a huge advantage. If it were a player who didn't matter as much-MAYBE so.

I'm drawing one line. They indicted Geddie because of wiretaps. If anyone mentioned money and Cam in a sentence, the FBI was on it way before the NCAA

Again if you cannot prove that Cam knew, you got nothing. Even though we all know he is likely guilty. All Cam has to say is my father was not carrying out my wishes in soliciting money for playing. He was not acting on my behalf when he solicited money. He was acting on his own. It's gonna be tough to prove. Maybe if you can find something on Auburn and Cecil then you can get Auburn. I ain't worried about any of this. That's Auburn's problem. LSU has it's own mess. The Mettenberger kid may turn out to be a model citizen, but I would prefer LSU not take that chance. It's too much of a risk when your talking about sexual assault.

wrong. His father was acting as his agent. Cam has confirmed that. An agent asking for payment ends Cams amateur status, whether he knew or not

With all the information from the meetings in Auburn's hands, we felt we could play Newton.

I look at it this way. If Auburn felt there was even a chance Cam is in the clear they have to play him now. If they held him out on a maybe, then lost(which would almost certainly happen)and found out on the backside he was o.k. the fallout would be historically epic. They really don't have much to lose at this point by playing him IMO. I still think 'Bama may end the dream with or without Cam next week. The best defensive coach in the country has some pretty good athletes to hurl at Cam.
