Does anyone know which SEC schools make the most money-----ticket sales, television, donations, etc. Coaching salaries would be a reduction from total revenue.

Seems like Bama topped the list last year...but not sure...

I'd have to say Florida is way up there

Pretty sure Texas is #1 with Ohio State #2. Then it's a toss up between Florida, LSU and Bama.

Doesn't matter. You paupers all give it right back to us by buying your Winner's Choice shoes and Equate petroleum jellies.
Arkansas is the Flagship of the SEC . . . and World.

Florida and Georgia are annually 1 and 2.
Tennessee is usually 3 and LSU/Bama are neck and neck at 4 and 5.

According to this article, Bama topped the list in the SEC last year.
Cha-ching indeed.

But Alabama is revenue champion of SEC game day.
The Crimson Tide completed a $65 million stadium expansion this summer - the second in four years - pushing capacity to 101,821 and making Bryant-Denny the nation's fifth-largest facility. Ticketholders pay $500 to hang out and eat before, during and after games in "The Zone."
Alabama sold out the 1,000 tickets for that party zone in two weeks.
Two professors with the University of Alabama's Center for Business and Economic Research found that a Crimson Tide football game has a $21.8 million economic impact on the state. Seven home games in 2008 generated a total of $152.8 million.
In Tuscaloosa, one game generates about $14.5 million.
Ahmad Ijaz, co-author of that study, said the numbers have gone up "significantly" since coach Nick Saban was hired.
"This year I think it will be substantially higher since that was pre-championship numbers," Ijaz said.
Records show Florida's football revenues jumped $7.2 million to $61.3 million after the Gators' title in 2008.
The money stream seems to make Saban's $4.7 million annual salary a bargain. U.S. Department of Education records show Tide football made $38.2 million in a 12-month stretch that ended June 30, 2009 - nearly enough to easily cover Saban's pay.
Cha-ching indeed.
Cha-ching indeed.

Would that be window sticker or dealer cost on those chargers?

I know LSU's the only school that doesn't use any tax dollars/state funding or student fees in the country. Thought that was cool

I thought that Grambling was in that category also.

14 out of 120 FBS football schools turned a profit for their entire athletic department last year.
Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee, and Missourri are the only ones that were divulged.
Sixty-eight FBS schools reported turning a profit on football.
LINK
"The NCAA doesn't release individual schools' revenues and expenses. But Fulks confirmed that Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Texas and Tennessee are among the select group that made money. So is Missouri, which reported generating $2 million in profits from campus athletics in 2009."
So any list you see purporting revenue is in all liklihood complete bullshite.

I'm pretty sure Tennessee and Auburn both do this too.
When I was in school just a couple of years ago, the school always said we were the only athletic department to do this.

Based on this list schools like A&M, Arkansas, South Carolina, and MSU--until very recently have been underperforming on the field.

There's a lot more that goes into it

Based on those 08-09 numbers, South Car certainly surprises me the most.

Every school has revenue. I think you're trying to say profit.
