You can have 10 times more fun in any South Louisiana city than anywhere in Alabama with your prudish women and your Draconian drinking laws.

The last three ND BCS games (2000, 2005 and 2006) were embarrassing.

That's totally subjective. It depends on whether you prefer eating beignets, drinking hurricanes and listening to zydeco or changing your truck's oil and raking up pine straw in your front yard while listening to "Sweet Home Alabama" on repeat.

Losing by 18 to the Utah State was bad. Losing by 1 to Michigan sucked but none were close the the beat downs the Irish took. They would have been lucky to win Shreveport or Memphis those years.

SOOOOO not true!!

Mobile partys more than any city in La except New Orleans.

They dont close bars at 2:00am, in Alabama they stay open 24/7.

When I DJ'ed on Dauphin St in Mobile, I started at midnight and at 2:00am the party was at its peak, not closing like La. clubs.

Thats New Orleans and they dont consider the rest of the state to have anything in common with them. They dont even talk the same as the rest of S. La.

Sure New Orleans is fun but no where you want to actually live.

One of my favorite bars in Mobile is The Garage on Washington St. It kicks late night too.

In a way, he's right. "Yats" are very different than "Coonasses"

...but it's all good. Honestly, that hodgepodge of Cajun, Creole, Italian, French, Spanish is what makes Louisiana's culture as great and unique as it is.

You know good and damn well that residents of NO aren't anything like the rest of South La. Hell, you should be grateful they aren't.

Mobile, while WAY funner than anywhere else in Alabama, is just a bunch of douchemonkey jersey shore wannabees. No thanks, I can get that in Tigerland.

Yeah with out of control drink prices and as soon as you set foot outside the bar on the strip in TTown there's a cop looking to throw you in the tank. No thanks.

Damn! You get better service than I do.

I was referring to his comment about the way people talk. Hell, even in the New Orleans area, there are different accents. Someone who live in "The Parish" will many times have a different accent than someone who lives uptown. Uptown, different than Kenna. It's weird like that.

You're talking about food & drink. Some of us are talking about culture and ethnicity of the region.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that South Louisiana was a lot different and a lot looser than the rest of the south, mainly due to the Catholic presence as opposed to the baptists that dominate the rest of the region?
