Why didn't we punch it in for the 31-17 lead at the end? Just shows you the class of Gene Chizik.

Agree, a 14 point win looked easily obtainable. Holding Newton back in the last minute made the game look closer than it really was. Chizick is no Urban Meyer!

And do you really Believe Chiz would have any Mercy on Alabama if it was within say 10 points late in the Fourth?

This answer is correct. No benefit for Auburn. Hard to argue it matters when you win and become #1 in BCS.
