Endzone Celebrations

Does anyone know the SEC's stance on EZ celebrations this year? Obviously, last year you could not even gesture towards the sky, much less the crowd.
This year, we've seen:
1. Ingram get away with 'shh-ing' the crowd'
2. Peterson get a flag for a half second heisman pose
3. Simms get nothing for gesturing to the crowd after scoring against LSU
I'd rather they let it go back to a few years ago.. I loved seeing the Gator chomp, the LSU 'cant see me', etc..

i thought they were cutting back even more this year on celebrations but i've seen several players pointing to the sky/crowd after scoring with no penelty.
i really dont care that much as long as it isnt a direct taunt towards a player

I really don't see a problem with a little celebration, like Ingram's "shh-ing". But obviously flag the frick out of jumping in the endzone like UGA did.

It's college football for pete's sake. It's the SEC. How in the hell can there be "excessive celebration" when you score. Ok, maybe the whole Georgia team running down to the endzone is excessive. But, as long as it's the players on the field during the play, then anything not directed at the opposing player or team is NOT excessive.

The 15 yard penalty that erases the score goes into effect next year.

Oh i thought that was in effect this year. Either way, it does seem like the are being more lenient this season. I don't remember who it was but somebody went crazy on Saturday and didn't get flagged. It was one of the bigger games.

I think only a few rules need to be enforced..
1. No leaping into the stands
2. No orchestrated celebrations
3. No taunting the other team

What about Ole Miss players doing the Ole Miss landshark pose on the field?
I actually kinda like it but it really is taunting, especially compared to jumping up and down in the endzone after a TD.

Hasn't happened much this year

What about the "Dawgpound Rock"? Isn't it orchestrated? Or do they still do it? I thought somebody said they did...

They do it before the game on the sideline. it's not nearly as cool as it used to be but still a good time. Whenever they stopped letting us do it on the field, I think they ruled that it was legal from the sidelines. It's not really a celebration.

I wish they'd start throwing a flag for the tackle that get up beating his chest and calling attention to himself after he makes a tackle. What is the difference? Some of them are in the other teams's face a lot more than someone who makes a TD. I can't stand to see that, and I don't care if it's Bama.

Simms was just pumping up his fans. He scored in the south endzone, where most of the Vol fans, and opposing fans in tiger stadium, sit.

I'm so sick of them cracking down on this. It's ridiculous. It's a GAME. Let the guys have some fun. I'm not condoning TO like antics...but penalizing someone for doing half a Heisman pose is ludicrous.

They should flag Jefferson for doing that Superman thing just because it's dumb as shite.

I can't complain too much about the SEC officiating this year, I think its actually been pretty good. There making better calls on the field and the replay booth is getting it right with better HD quality video.
They actually caught the 13 men on the field, imagine if they wouldn't have caught it and some sportswriters and fans did.
