Retitle this the BASH Starkville thread.

I completely agree with that list based on the ones I've been to. It'd be nice for us if Baton Rouge wasn't such a shitty city.

Garbage list. Listing Lexington at 11, and Nashville at 7 is just ridiculous. Overall, they're top 3, along with Athens.

So many underrated things about Knoxville.
Some of the best hiking in the Southeast is a 20 minute drive from Campus (Smokey Mountains)
Lake Loudon/TN River - you are literally a 5 minute drive from taking a boat out on a river or lake.
Or a 5 minute walk depending on where you/friends/or family keeps their boat.

i don't agree with the list. Athens will always be my tops, followed by ttown, but I would rank Lexington higher b/c of Keeneland alone.

I doubt many people are going to be boating or hiking on a football weekend, which is what this list is based on.

My carefully calculated formula includes the tailgating atmosphere, stadium noise, bars and overall uniqueness.
Doesn't look like the great outdoors were one of the criteria.

Wait, I have to disagree with his comments about South Carolina, especially this one.
Those motherfrickers were amped up when we played them there a couple years ago. Very high energy crowd. The bars at Five Points was pretty sweet too, plus they had a cool fair going on.
The only downside was that they had the rudest fans I've ever encountered.

Nashville as a city was legit, but the tailgating is an absolute joke. the atmosphere was of a university....strange

What city would you rank Starkville ahead of?

Oxford gets a bad rap.
I love this. Consistently praised by the national news media, but hated on in Baton Rouge. Are our bars too nice? Are there too few Ed Hardy shirts? Too many attractive coeds? Too few corndogs in the grove?

I'm jealous of that guy! Cool project, no doubt.
Just wish you LSU fans would get a chance to come to Fayetteville. A lot of people within our allegiances say LR atmosphere is better (probably due to stadium design and the demographics of those in attendance), but Fayetteville is a quintessential college town, which I love.

Did someone on here diss the grove? Cause I didn't know it was awesome until a thread on the rant a couple years ago stating how great of a gameday scene Oxford had, and I have to agree.

I think it has more to do with lack of a football team.

All of this makes tons of sense
