re: Stevie Nicks- man they don’t make em like they used to

Fleetwood Mac is possibly the most underrated “soft-rock” band of all time. I wouldn’t call them soft-rock but that’s what they’re associate with most often. The band has only had 2 consistent members throughout its long history.
Peter Green was Eric Clapton’s replacement in the Bluesbreakers and many at the time believed his skill was superior. He started Fleetwood Mac with Mick and John releasing one of their best songs “Oh Well.” On a tour in Europe, he was kidnapped by hippie women and given LSD that permanently fricked him up and he had to leave the band.
Danny Kirwan, his natural replacement as lead guitarist, also went crazy and had to leave the band, not before releasing “Albatross,” another great song.
Christine Perfect joins the band bringing consistent, poppy songs to what was a blues/rock band.
Jeremy Spencer joins, tours, then leaves in the middle of a tour to join the Children of God cult.
Oh yea, the record company gets so pissed they hire a replacement band, call them Fleetwood Mac and put them out on tour.
Bob Welch is recruited, he plays a mean guitar, but just doesn’t fit the feel of the band. (Welch is the person who introduces Steven Adler of Guns n Roses to crack cocaine)
Fleetwood, McVie, and McVie were by themselves and were going to call it quits when Mick hears Buckingham and Nicks working on their second album in the recording studio and the rest is history.
Very excited that Apple TV is doing a multi-part documentary on the band. They are absolutely fascinating.

The Who’s decision making has been odd lately.
1. Fire Zak because Roger was being a baby.
2. Rehire Zak after trying to make him apologize.
3. Announce FINAL TOUR but it’s only going to be in the US? Even after that half-filled last tour in the US?
4. Fire Zak again

The band chose her over Lindsay. Bad choice imo
SNL 50 Season Finale - Scar Jo/Bad Bunny
Posted by Ryne Sandberg on 5/17/25 at 11:55 pm
This is the strangest episode of SNL I may have ever watched. A bunch of WAY too long sketches, half-formulated ideas, and not good performances. Pretty sad that the best sketches of the night last few weeks have been the Trump impression by JAJ. He at least makes me laugh. Besides Weekend Update, this episode has been a total skip.
Cast that need to go:
Jane Wickline-one note, ugly, not funny
Mikey Day - enjoy him, but it’s time
Chloe Fineman - has she even been on the show the last few weeks?
Heidi - another one that it’s just time to go
Devon - does fine when he gets stuff, but obviously doesn’t write well for himself. His stand up is good, time to go back
Bowen - frick HIM
If Che/Jost are done, which I actually don’t think they are, Dismukes or Longfellow should have the first crack.
I think we’re going to see a huge cast turnover, and honestly, the show needs it.

re: Former LSU DE Brian West...

He brought his own daughters as well as 4-5 others from Neville and OCS. There was a huge difference in the lineups and the way things have been done. Of course some players were leftover, but to say he won with the previous coach’s players is ignorant.
Brian going to West Monroe is going to realign softball in Northeast LA.

It would’ve been the total opposite just 15 years ago and there would’ve been a whole Reveille opinion section dedicated to how awful it was that white people were fairly represented.

re: Hey! Teacher! Leave them kids alone
Posted by Ryne Sandberg on 4/24/25 at 8:04 pm
Why are there more fights and violence at school? Social media and the ability to instantly contact almost anyone. Instagram, Snapchat and all the garbage is where 99% of stuff starts in the street. I’m sure it bleeds into the schools and creates more problems.
In Louisiana, cell phones are banned at schools, yet many districts allow them as long as they are not visible. What a joke. Then, the punishment is just a slap on the wrist.
There are too many kids that are classified as SPED now who get money from the government and discipline rules don’t apply the same to them either.

Punk would be an obvious ally if there was some kind of war between those two groups, but man, wouldn’t it be a great turn if he joined the Rock?

quote:
Were not that far off from the draft. They need to elevate guys to take the place of a working champion for SD. I've got a feeling Cena is getting drafted to RAW with this Seth/Bron/Punk/Roman group (along with Jey) are headed to SD. This just reinforced that HHH fricked up which main event ended on what night. He's dug himself a hole with that bone headed move but he still has a chance to make this work. Cena is just falling flat. Get this Orton program out of the way and turn him back... this run is tainted by how last night played out. And Dwayne.... stay the frick away from WWE. You're such a lazy, narcissistic piece of shite.
Cena:
I would hide Cody until after Backlash at the very least. He’s got to have his sights on Cena, but Cena has to go through Orton first. Orton just has nothing to do otherwise. The top is too crowded.
Heyman’s Guys:
Seth and Bron vs Punk and Reigns at Backlash. Why not add Becky in as a third and maybe Sami as the fourth? Sami can work interference and bother Fatu to keep him involved with Reigns albeit remotely. This could set up some revenge against the Judgement Day as well. Becky vs Liv, that will obviously continue at some point.
Rock:
Rock has to be back for something at Summerslam. It would be insane for him not to be involved.
Bonus Fantasy Booking:
When Bron turns on Rollins, for the title…Ambrose returns to save Rollins. It’s gonna happen.
