These American Eagles are my other favorites:

Steve Martin - LINK
Andy Griffith - What it was was Football
Bill Cosby - Chocolate Cake for Breakfast

Three of my favorite old stand up guys. All are well known. I think Steve Martin has been dangerously underrated with how nuclear hot he was in the 70’s. He opened rock shows constantly with comedy, did solo stand up tours and sold millions of records BEFORE starting in a movie. Then he just decided to quit standup.
Wow! Didn’t know the timetable was this advanced. Very exciting for the country.

Letterman Christmas
1. Jay Thomas Lone Ranger Story
2. Paul’s Cher impression
3. The Quarterback Challenge
4. Darlene Love

Always my favorite episode of the year, even when we knew EXACTLY what we were going to get. I miss Letterman weekly.
Real shame Jon Lovitz wasn’t there…

To stop them from saving that piece of garbage.

Ouachita has 1,134 kids according to LHSAA website. Neville has 1,033. Not too big of a difference.

Also what’s up with the dude in shorts on the Neville sideline? Is he a coach? Watched a few games and haven’t noticed him before.

Absolutely. Benjy is a great guy and can barbecue with the best of him. Also, anytime Neville loses, it’s a good day for Louisiana sports.
He’s made 2 passes where he’s missed a wide open guy. The other few incompletes were low percentage throws anyways.
My 75 year old Dad has come under fire for his reaction to seeing Mrs. Claus during the Macy’s Parade:
quote:

Who the hell is that slant-eyed oriental?

He then used his fingers to pull his eyelids wide. Excited that my children copied him, he continued doing it during lunch.

Luckily, the food coma has set in and he has fallen asleep in his chair.
Mani’s base lines for the Roses and later Primal Scream’s middle era were defining sounds. If you listen to the Stone Roses debut, it’s riddled with grooving, plucking base lines that drive every song to a higher level. His bass on I Am the Resurrection is perfection.

RIP Mani

DUH! You're totally right.

Unless there is wholesale change at the upper levels of the Ole War Skule, I will encourage my almost high schooler to look at alternate universities. The collegial atmosphere I remember back in the early 2000’s is just not there anymore. The mixture of “culture” and continued push of liberal ideology along with the lack of leadership doing anything to strengthen academics while closing the school to those who should not attend is baffling.

Being able to enter the “Flagship University” without submitting a standardized test is a joke. I agree with multiple other posters who point out that grading at schools is not universal, but the ACT is.

Every year there are 2 more dorms built it seems. Ridiculous.
The actual postseason record is now shared by Ohtani and Lenny Dykstra in game 3 of the ‘93 NLCS. Not joking on this one
Ohtani is tied with George Herman Ruth for most times reaching base in a postseason game: 7.

The former record for the most times a player has reached base in a single MLB postseason game was 7, held by Babe Ruth. He set this record during Game 2 of the 1926 World Series, in a game between the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Ruth reached base 7 times, via 3 hits (including a double), 4 walks, and a hit-by-pitch.

Tonight, Ohtani is 4-4 with 3 BBs. Ohtani has 2 D, 1 S and a HR

Edit: I hope y’all don’t think I’m serious. Ohtani > Ruth
Real shame what’s gone on at Wednesday. They were given multiple chances, dodged administration without a real feasible plan. Horrible ownership.
