You just wait...in our spring game Jefferson ran the option 6 times for -15 yards.
And Crowton has been waiting until 2010 season to open up the entire playbook.
I got nothing. I've just prepared myself that we will look like hammered shite on offense.

I think most agree that JJ is average. I'm really not sure. I think you can win with an average qb. Yes, our OL should be improved. I think our Lonergon at center will be much much better than T-bob and Barksdale at LT will play better than Black did last year. The addition of hurst and blackwell will also help the line. Of course this is all guessing until the season starts! Your right about Sheppard not getting many touches last year. I hope and think he will get many touches this year. Cant wait for the season!

yep hopefuly t-bob stays warming the bench and hopefully shep gets the touches he deserves because the majority of the time he did touch the ball last year it was mostly some big plays for us

Well being as little if a homer as possible, we Are hoping for Zachary lee to come play as a true freshman... Realistically jefferson is bad but you have to remember the receiving core we have starting this year
Tolliver, randle, Shepard. Three receiver who can virtually be a #1 receiver on just about every team (I said virtually) if Jefferson can't get them the ball he needs to quit the fricking game

also he cannot run the option to save his life
Seems everyone in the whole college football world knows this, except our offensive coordinator.

-who are the key losses and additions?
Charles Scott, Keiland Williams, Brandon Lafell, and 2 OLinemen. Michael Ford, Steven Ridley, and Richard Murphy are good backs ready to take over the running game. Throw in true freshman Jakari Gore and Spencer Ware and you have a pretty damn good RB corp.

what's the word on Jefferson? it doesn't look like he can progress that much more, i think he's just an average QB talent
Jefferson is playing in the wrong scheme. He is the perfect QB for a run first, play action style offense. Crowton runs an insane, crazy version of the spread passing/option offense. Jefferson does not fit with the system Crowton is trying to run.
Crowton manages to expose Jefferson's weaknesses as a QB, that's why he looks bad a lot.

what's up with Sheppard? i felt he could have done big things last year but didn't get many touches.
We all felt the same way. I think Crowton forgot he was on the team, that's the only explanation I can think of. That or just plain incompetence.
LSU has all the talent in the world to compete with the best, but coaching is what's wrong. As if you couldn't tell, I'm not a fan of Crowton at all. He doesn't adjust his scheme and he constantly puts his QB in bad situations (Look at Jarrett Lee in 08 and Jefferson in 09). The only positive going into 2010 offensively is that we can't be any worse then last year, but with Crowton still here, we won't be much better.
Mark my words, LSU will not compete for another SEC title until Crowton is gone. Everyone keeps saying Miles is the problem, well it is in the sense he should have fired him. But LSU can be among the elite again with a halfway competent OC.

I agree 100% concerning GC , we are fricked as long as he is around.
