South Carolina is the only game he performed better

But he had more yards and more touchdowns against common opponents. Why are you ONLY using completion %? That's not the be all, end all of qb stats.

Mallett performed better in every game against common opponents.

I'm not. He threw for less TD's too. He padded his stats against Georgia (73rd ranked pass defense) and Miss St(66th pass defense). Against ALL other SEC teams he faced, he threw for 2 TD's, once. Against Auburn. He threw for only 1 TD against the other 5. And completion percentages matter. If you're 3 and out, you're not exactly being good for your team.

Mallet 2189 yds 16 TD's 5 INT's 153/272 56%

McElroy 1723 yds 12 TD's 3 INT's 140/234 60%

There are your SEC performances.
