If you're going to argue McElroy vs Mallet you should use their stats against common opponents (MSU, OM, LSU, AU, USCe, UF). I'm not arguing that McElroy is better, because frankly he isn't.

106/198(54%) 1,621 yards 18 TDs 4 INTs

90/155(58%) 1,164 yards 7 TDs 3 INTs

I did. Go back and look. South Carolina is the only game he performed better. In 5 games, Mallett threw for under 45% completions. McElroy did once, against Ole Miss, for 44% and while that was bad, Mallett against Ole Miss was 35%.

Also look. 10 of his TD's were against Miss St and Georgia, that left him with 5 TD's against the remaing 6 SEC teams. Mallett, last yr is living off lighting up weak teams and that's it. It may change this year, but 5 games... FIVE GAMES, he couldn't complete 45% of his passes. In fact, over those five games, he had a completion rate of 39%
