I hear what you're saying, but I am truly expecting LSU to beat Alabama this year in Tiger Stadium. I am probably one of the few who think this. But, I see it happening. This is why I'm saying that people shouldn't underestimate LSU.

For LSu to beat Bama in Tiger Stadium will not be a huge upset at all. I dont get this LSu and Auburn were very lucky to win as many in a row against Bama as they did. That is not a slight on either team but it is very rare to run off a string of victories against any of the historical top teams in the sec; th elaw of averages just doesnt favor that especially when you line up against each other every yr.

I agree. Solid point. I also don't think that beating a team two years in a row constitutes a winning streak, especially if the ganes were competitive. Anything can happen. Now, if you beat a team 4-5 times in a row, then you start talking about winning streaks.

I don't remember too many people focusing on this until Tuberville held his thumb up after beating Bama 5 straight times. It is pretty much a given that a team will beat another 2-3 times in a row and then the situation will reverse itself based on the normal cycles in college football.

That's why I don't feel like we have a win streak against Auburn, even though we have won 3 straight. Auburn gave us great games in 2007-08 to add to the classics throughout the decade. We just happened to come out on top a few times in a row.

Of course, last year was a beat down, but that is an anomoly in this series. Same holds true for the Bama-LSU, Arky-LSU, Ole Miss-LSU series. The only team that we truly have a streak going against is Miss. St., and they are getting better.

The SEC West will be a dogfight and some very good teams will have a losing record in the SEC because of who they play each week. I just don't think LSU will be one of them.
