I think we should vote for hotty and toddy. It's not my favorite of the candidates and is kinda gay, but I think for the sake of the name rebels it is our best choice. All of the animal selections open the door for the team name to eventually be changed to that animal, for example the ole miss bears, but hotty and toddy on the other hand would make it very difficult to change the name. What do yall think?

Ok ok Hotty and Toddy. I still like Rhett and Scarlet it fits them to a T.

this is the best route for OM fans. everyone in the SEC wants you to pick hotty and toddy.

There is at least some historical reference with the bear to Faulkner. But I'm with you, they all suck.

Well FTR I voted no at the original election and I would much rather have nothing. The whole situation really sucks. But I really don't want to lose rebels its one of the last things we've got

for all you mascot haters out there, I understand being upset about col. reb being taken away 7 years ago, and I understand that you may not want a new mascot, but when you say they all suck, it makes it sound like you have better ideas. If so what are they? Because I think landshark just is a given with tony fein and our D the past 3 years, I think black bears is very cool and very marketable and has great stories that link to OM and MS. Now with hotty and toddy its hard to have an opinion because you have no idea what they will be. Yes its easy to find something wrong with any suggestion someone has, but please by all means present some better ones if youre gonna bitch about how all the ideas are terrible

I just don't think having a damn contest for a mascot is the right way to do it. Mascots usually evolve over time (i.e, the Alabama elephant or the Tennessee coon dog). Just deciding to have a contest one day to pick a symbol for your university is LAME

I can't stand any of the mascot ideas. But if they ever take away "Ole Miss" or "Rebels" I'm walking.
