Vandy
A quarter of a million dollar value for playing ball for 4 years....not bad; not bad at all.

The school is the only private school in the 12-team Southeastern Conference. It has the smallest enrollment of any SEC school.
Vanderbilt scholarships are worth more than $240,000 for four years.
Its academic entrance requirements favor the best and brightest, which don't always mix with 40-yard dash times and dead lifts.

three hundred grand if you redshirt; and worth even more if you add in the interest rate you don't have to pay when paying back a student loan

I would have love to have gotten one of these, surely some other kids in the country feel the same way.

This is part of the reason I don't understand why Vandy can't be on the level of Northwestern or Stanford with more winnnig seasons. You'd think the kids smart enough to qualify and are really good players too, would flock to a University like that for the educational puposes.

It blows my mind too. They are by far the wealthiest school in the SEC (endowment wise). And you know they to have some alumni with deep pockets that would support a big investment in its football program.
