And you can add this to the story. After promising Petrino would be able discuss other opportunities and take another if he job desired, Aurthur Blank said just the opposite in an interview with MNF announcers. Petrino's family heard their comments. When he walked in the door that night he was greeted by his wife and family crying and grieving because they hated Atlanta.
He was the Arkansas head coach by Friday.

Fans from other SEC schools try to pile on Petrino for a reason. They won’t admit it but if he wasn't a great coach we would never hear a word from them. That is all anybody really needs to know why these threads continue to come up.

Whatever makes you feel better about Petrino. I would never cheer for a team that he coached. But I guess you take what you can get in Arky
