That equals "heavy favorite"?

I mean didn't they have a poll at the SEC media day? If I remember right, Ole Miss was third.

There sure as hell was a lot of smack talk from Ole Miss fans this time last year. The entire summer was full of it.

No one.....read NO ONE said OM was supposed to win the West. Everyone predicted Bama to win it.

Holy shite, retard, do a google search. These are from just the first 5 pages. I'm blown away at how little some people know about their own conference, let alone their own team. Did you even pay attention last off season? I especially love all the comments about Snead being so great, that made me lmao at him and at you.

Phil Steele: Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State

Sporting News: Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Mississippi State

Associated Sports Content: “Ole Miss is the only team in the SEC with a great quarterback not named Tebow. Last season Ole Miss defeated Florida and Texas Tech. In 2009 Ole Miss plays Alabama and LSU at home.”
(Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Georgia Bulldog Journal: I think a focused and jacked up Ole Miss team will beat both Alabama and LSU at home to lock up the West title, but I believe their foucs will waver and they will slip up against either a dark horse Arkansas team or Tennessee at home to keep them from an undefeated season(probably Arkansas).
(Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Scout.com Barrett Sallee: The Rebels are actually the safest pick to win the division. They get a beneficial SEC schedule, with games vs. LSU, Alabama and Arkansas at home, and Florida and Georgia not on the schedule at all. With a stout defense led by DE Greg Hardy and a the Jevan Snead-led offense that averaged 32 points per game last season, the Rebels will make it to Atlanta for the first time ever.
(Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Maddux Sports: The Rebels of Old Miss don’t have to play the Florida Gators. That is a big plus. Additionally, the QB spot is manned by topnotch player Jevan Snead. The multitalented Dexter McCluster excels at running back and wide receiver. He is the team’s ultimate go-to guy. The offensive and defensive lines are not as strong as they could be and that means that a few players will need to step up. Nine wins look certain for this team but they could post 10 or 11.
(Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Weekly College Football: Ole Miss was the only team that managed to take down the Florida Gators last season.Ole Miss was last in passing defense last season, and they need to improve in this area in order to finish first in the SEC West this season. Ole Miss has LSU and Alabama at home this season and are well-poised to make a run at the West title.
(Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Brian Hendrickson: Sure, history says the Rebels are headed for a letdown. After all, even Eli Manning couldn’t lead them to an SEC title. But they have one thing going for them: Fewer questions to answer than any other SEC West team.
(Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Bryan Flynn: Now this season is one of the best chances Ole Miss has at winning the West since Eli Manning left. Ole Miss looks to have the fewest questions heading into this season. The offense returns its two best players in Jevan Snead and Dexter McCluster. The main offensive question is, can the Rebels find a running game?
(Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State)

Touthouse Sports Wagering: The Rebels host LSU and that’s the biggest reason they are picked first. This is a very good team led by an explosive offense and an opportunistic defense. They face Memphis on the road, SE Louisiana at home, along with Northern Arizona and UAB at home. There’s no reason why they can’t be 4-0 in their non-conference schedule and considering they miss Florida and Georgia, this could be a very special season.
