All Tebow did was win the Hiesman, 2 NC, one as the starter, recruit, coach, graduate, stay a virgin, balance the budget, part the oceans etc and this fricking clown that NO ONE EVEN KNOWS comes out and talks about what a real QB does. This is a T O in the making of a selfish dick that will destroy soemone who don't throw him alot of balls.

I thought a real quarterback is one who WINS GAMES?

The differences between the two quarterbacks has not been lost on his teammates, especially wide receiver Deonte Thompson. And, whether or not Thompson meant it to come out the way it did, his words as quoted by the Orlando Sentinel when talking about the differences between Brantley and Tebow were a direct, biting shot at the latter.

"You never know with Tim," Thompson said. "He can bolt. You think he's running but he'll come up and pass it to you. You just have to be ready. With Brantley, everything's with rhythm, with time. You know, a real quarterback."

It's possible he was just trying to say that Brantley is more prototypical than Tebow. And I would think most folk would agree.

Tebow actually played and scored in the 06 NC though I'm pretty sure.

Yes, he did help us win the 2007 NC...and he did help us win the SEC Championship that year when Flynn was hurt.

Don't see where what he said was that bad. I think the NFL people have given Tebow more hell than this guy.

Yes, who would have played QB in the SEC Championship when Flynn was hurt if it wasn't RP?

I am not arguing his part. Sure he played a part. But I would not say RP won a NC. We can agree to differ on that

to say he won a NC implies more than the role he played

If he has a ring, he won one. But Tebow played and scored! Are you really arguing there is no difference?

Did a reciever that played and caught a TD pass win a National Championship?

And I clearly stated, won 2 STARTED IN ONE!!

IMO when you hear "he won a NC" its used in the context of the coach or the quarterback. I just think that language implies that he was the main guy and that was not the case

A lot of times you hear "so and so helped win a NC" or something like that but you say "he won it" if you're talking about the starting QB

I'll admit that i missed this part when I looked at it the first time but it wasn't a personal thing just something that bothers me every time i hear it

i didnt see him taking anything away from tebow whith what he said. it sound like hes pointing out the different playing styles in each. my personal opinion tells me hes just trying to hype up the gaytors with their new qb... lsu should take lessons and maybe we could have a confident qb for once
