Why did Mississippi State not get in over Minnesota?

Minnesota lost by 31 today in the Big 10 Championship game vs Ohio State, while we took the best team in America to the wire and lost by 1 in overtime to UK.
I guess we could have lost by 50 and it wouldnt have mattered today. Hell we could have lost 4 of our last 5 like Florida or 5 of our last 6 like Wake Forest did.
Im going to miss Barry and Jarvis next year, but am looking forward to getting Renardo Sidney and our injured players back.

On paper, you have zero wins that compare to Minnesota's best 4 or 5. You took a great team to OT today, but your week didn't compare to theirs.

One game is not your entire season. Plus you guys lost to us late in the season.

Minnesota beat a Purdue team who shot a blistering 9% from the field in the first half and also has their best player out for the year with an ACL tear.
Minnesota had some big wins but they had more bad loses than we did.

Can't really agree with you on that. Both had some bad losses. In the end, I think Minnesota had at least 5 more quality wins than MSU. I get that Purdue shot poorly and were missing their best player, but they still beat them. They also beat another highly ranked team the night before.

We should dominate the NIT.
That statement is so sad.
In all honesty, I really thought y'all were jobbed. I hope y'all indeed do dominate the NIT.

I forgot about that one. That surely didn't help, but I think it was the first game of the season. I doubt they were penalized too harshly for that one, but you never know.

I was pulling for them to get in too.
I just think in the end it was so much the bad early losses that kept them out, as it was the lack of quality wins.

Flip those last 2 letters and you have the best team in America.

Illinios is better than both Miss st and Minn IMO.

The biggest screw job is VT not getting in IMO. 10-6 in the acc, which I know is down this year but it's still the acc, that should get you in.

Illinois is 19-14 and has an RPI in the upper 70's they didnt even need to be in the question in regards to bubble teams.
