High expectations from a perennially average team with a heisman candidate QB and an average defense. Will they tank?

Probably, but hopefully not... Well, probably won't tank, but I think the tards saying 11 wins and shite still think Arkansas is in the SWC or something. I'm cautiously optimistic, though.

I agree ole miss D was better last year. But according to the piggies, they have beefed up their D this year. I have a feeling it will another disappointing season in Arkansas.

Thats tough to do in the west. Auburn will be back. You got LSU in LR. Plus us and our wildcard of a coach. Not to mention the Gumps.

I Hope Arkansas sucks. After all, the reason La doesn't fall into the gulf is the fact that Arkansas sucks.

That's while I'll be happy with it. If you can win 9 in the west, while traditionally being mid tier in the SEC, you should be happy with it.

IMO, No... I see Arkansas competing for the west, and possibly winning it... depending on their defense.
I will say this, as far as Ole Miss "tanking", they still managed to win 9 games... I think Arkasnas can get to 10 wins, although the schedule is tough.

So basically you're saying arky beats auburn. Because I don't think they Beat LSU or Bama. Way to gave confidence in your team.

What makes this LSU team any different from the last two that were beat and were almost beat by two inferior Arkansas teams (talent wise)?

Right now, I think Arkansas beats both Auburn and LSU... their showdown with Alabama in Fayettville determines the west, IMO.
We've got way too many question marks to be serious contenders(QB, RB, defensive depth, etc.)... we might get them answered, but I doubt we're SEC Championship Game quality in 2010.

We finally have a game tested experienced SEC QB. Say what you will but his stats are pretty good. And now he will have a bigger and more driven OL blocking for him. We added Billy g. And I think that will put our receivers in sync. We lost charles Scott which I think was hindrance because he didn't fit our offense very well. I think you'll be surprsed at our production this year.
