Stay out GumpTards
LSU fans, please put something to rest for me.
I read somewhere that by the time Saban left LSU some/many of the Tiger players were happy to see him go because of his "intensity".
Have there been any documented comments from former LSU players about their love/dislike of Saban?
I would say this is just a false rumor but wanted to see if you guys knew/heard anything.
Yes, Gumps, Saban is a great coach, save your blah blah for the next Saban statue thread.

It's a mixed bag, he's close with some others say he's an SOB

Love/Hate thing. They hated him when they prepared, but they loved him for where he got them.

That sounds reasonable.

Who was that CB that wanted to kick his arse after the CapitalOne Bowl?

Didnt Saban used to attend yoga classes with his teams at LSU?

No idea if there is any legitimate source to back it up, but I have heard rumors that players got tired of being constantly cussed at and treated like shite.
After the Cap One Bowl loss to Iowa, Saban jumped on Ronnie Prude's (LSU CB) arse about missing an assignment and Prude alledgely responsded "Get out of my face, you're not my coach anymore." Dunno how much truth there is to that story, but it's been told a lot.
Like you said, he definitely is a great coach, but not every college player likes that kind of approach.

Don't remember, but didn't another LSU player have to hold the two back because they were about to fight?

You're wrong. Every college player likes Saban. Every college player wants to play for him, but Saban turns them down.
