LSU wins the decade battle

That's right people, LSU is tops. I wanted to show people how LSU is dominant in all 3 major sports(football-basketball-baseball).
To break it down for you, here's how I did the point scoring. National Championships are worth 3 points, SEC Regular Season Championships are worth 2 points and SEC Tournament Championships are worth 1 point. Since football has no tournament, winning the SEC East or West is worth a point.
LSU shows they are king of the land with National Championships in football (03&07), baseball (00&09). SEC championships were plentiful Football-01, 03,07 and finishing first in the West in 01, 03, 05, and 07.
Basketball Reg Season-00, 06, 09.
Baseball Reg Season-03,09 and Tournament champs 00, 08, and 09. Add it up and you get 35 points. Florida was at 33 points with National championships in football-06&08 and basketball-06,07. They were SEC champs in football-00, 06, 08 and represented the East in 00, 06, 08, and 09. They also have regular season championships in basketball-00,01, and 07 and tournament champs in 05, 06, and 07. Baseball they were regular season champs in 05.
Alabama???? you got a whoppping 13 points with a national championship in football 09 and SEC championship 09 and West division in 08 and 09. Basketball 02 Baseball 06 and tournament 02&03.
Go ahead-Georgia, Auburn-Kentucky fans, add your points up. Tennesssee?? you wanna throw in women's sports?? Cool- LSU women will add plenty points to our total with basketball championships in 05 and 08 and tournament champs in 03. Softball champs in 00, 01, 02 and 04 and tourney 01, 02, 04 and 07.
Tennesssee's men-yeah not going to really help you.Oh and Ole Miss--congrats you got a tournament baseball championship in 06 and a shared baseball regular season in 09. So you got 3 points. Not going to count your 03 shared West in football cuz you didn't get to Atlanta and never have

Nah.. If you stack it up, LSU and Florida were tops in the SEC this decade.

no doubt, but UF is head and shoulders ahead. 4 national championships to 2 in the nationally relevant sports.

This is getting progressively worse. After last season, LSU fans constantly bragged about "UF and LSU" owning the SEC - when in reality, Florida was the dominant program and LSU was riding the coattail of Florida's success - and that was acceptable, because you had won the 2007 National Championship - even though you had 2 losses.
I think we'll see more of these posts as time goes on. More posts that talk about LSU being dominant over "X" amount of years, or having a better W/L record than "X" team over "X" amount of years. Very similar to what Auburn fans have been doing since 2004.

Too bad nobody gives a frick about baseball or basketball around these parts - except for LSU, Mississippi State, and Kentucky fans. The truth that hurts for you guys is that LSU is becoming irrelevant in the only sport that matters AGAIN - so you feel the need to boost your self esteem by starting threads like these that display your "dominance".

Your right-sold out arenas to basketball doesn't help your program. I assure you, people indeed do care about round ball in the south. Maybe not you, cuz your a GUMP And baseball nobody cares but LSU cuz we own the league and one of the few schools that actually make money in baseball.

there are plenty of schools in the SEC that care about baseball, basketball, softball, T&F, and other sports..
