Sooooo....essentially, what they are saying is that you guys never really wanted him anyways.
I'm not buying it.

Good spin.
What a moron...one of the top RB in the nation in your backyard and because he can't be a safety also, you dont go after him?

Thats sounds mysteriously like the Recruiting board.
"We never wanted Christine Michael"
Sour grapes if you ask me

I like to think of it as Petrino is the biggest dumbass in the SEC in evaluating and recruiting talent. Seems he just is not interested in recruiting the best players in his state which works for me.

Did Petrino say that? No, nor did I. We offered Dyer but he chose Auburn. But, just like I said form the beginning of his recruitment we would have loved to have had Dyer but we didn't really need him.
Look at it this way. If Dyer had signed with the Hogs, whose carries was he going to take? Junior D. Johnson's? I don't think so. Sophomores Ronnie Wingo's or Knile Davis', No. B. Green's? Hardly.
Obviously we wanted Dyer but he was not a top priority. I just thought this article would interest Hog Fans who agonized over our not getting Dyer. Petrino doesn’t seem too concerned.

Actually, Dyer is 19 and won't turn 20 until the fall.

Keep thinking that because it really matters what you think.

But, you just might want to think about this as well. The biggest dumbass has a 2-0 record against Auburn. How do you reconcile that?

We sucked.... that's how.

If you don't like to read a post about Dyer then why in the frick are you posting on it since it mentioned his name in the title?

I guess the question is why did we move on with Dyer but not other prospects that were committed to other schools? ie, Barnett and Lake

That meant as good as a home-grown prospect like Little Rock Christian tailback Michael Dyer was, he wasn't a major priority. Dyer, who wound up signing with Auburn, was a five-star prospect and holds the state's career rushing record. He had an Arkansas offer, but from the sound of things he was never a major target for the coaches.
this is why Arkansas will not win the West any time soon. terrible mentality. when you have a chance to sign the No. 1 recruit at ANY position, you pursue it.

<generic retort pointing out the word you misspelled and drawing conclusions regarding the quality, or lack thereof, of an auburn education>

Are you expecting a little more suckage this year or will Dyer be your saving grace as Kodi was.
