Why are they so adamant about this in football but in college basketball players go crazy just about every play????

it's stupid. it's almost like we're treating these college grown arse dudes like they're in middle school or grade school. are the refs REALLY concerned with the players' feelings?
maybe the rule is just there to keep emotions in check... i don't know, but i always felt they should be able to celebrate as much as they want as long as it doesn't screw with the flow of the game or the time it takes to get the next play off.
