At least one of them will turn out to be a good QB. Both have good arms.

Newton saw a lot of playing time this season, though he wasn't ready because he was expecting to be redshirted. He's a very mobile QB, and at 6'4" 220, he's got great size. He was Mr. Football in Indiana his senior year and the Gatorade Indiana Player Of The Year.

He broke 10 school records, eight of which were held by former NFL and Purdue quarterback Mark Herrmann. He threw for 1,938 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior, along with 1,664 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, accounting for 3,602 yards total offense and 48 TDs.

And the kid graduated with honors.

QB is the biggest bust potential position there is.

GMac took down Chase Daniels Texas records. Texas records are a much bigger deal than Indiana. Most thought he'd never take a snap at Bama.

Having 4 star QB's is great but it just doesn't mean anything. Star Jackson is going to transfer because his 4 stars will never see the field.

You're basically banking on a kid that threw for less than 2000 yards in high school. I understand he has talent but at this point I'd still say you have nothing until proven otherwise.

That was in his senior season, not a career total.
