what's up with that Bama fans?
all of my co-workers who went to the parks over the weekend are talking about all of the Texas players and fans that they saw. Not much mention of Bama.
Is the Rose Bowl going to be a sea of burnt orange?

I know this is getting back at a Bama fan about the Orlando thing, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more Texas fans in the stadium. They are a lot closer to Pasedena than Alabama.

i really don't know what the orlando thing is that you are referencing. didn't look at the board much around our bowl disaster.

There was a sign:
No Shoes, No Service.
Bama people could not get in

i also tend to meet a lot more Texas fans out here in general compared to bama fans. Same thing in NYC. i guess a higher % of Bama fans just never leave the south?

bama fans spent their life earnings on tickets and travel. they dont have any left over for disney.

Several reasons for that I am sure. Texas is closer. Texas has a MUCH larger alumni base and therefore much higher earnings and more money (in general). Bama may have a large fan base, but most of it did not graduate college. Texas on the other hand is a much larger school with more students and alumni.
I would expect Texas to have significantly more fans at the game also.
I am surprised any Bama players were at Disney. Must be some of the redshirt and travelling scout team guys. Saban calls Disney clutter.

now this is a crazy idea... bama fans focused on winning a football game instead of playing around at universal studios!
in all fairness, it's prob our AMAZING state's per capita income meets average traveling expenses plus game/tickets/refreshments costs. also, distance and alumni pop.

UT is twice the size of Bama.
Its also the number one bandwagon program in a state with 5 times the population of Alabama.
They have more fans.

I don't the distance matters all that much if you can't drive it. Alabama is a LOT closer to Orlando than Texas is. We've all seen Disney already.

one of the funniest things i have read on these boards. FANS FOCUSED ON THE GAME. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
like its going to matter if the fans are enjoying themselves. they dont play the game, dumbass.

I didn't get lucky enough to score tickets, but I promise you that if I did I wouldn't be caught dead in friggin' Disneyland. Seriously? Disneyland is our attendance barometer? I also wouldn't be walking around L.A. sporting my Bama shirts either, I'm grown.
I'll just wait until Thursday night to see how the fans traveled.

True. I just checked fares from Bham to LAX and Austin to LAX. They are about the same, though several airlines in Bham have no seats left departing tomorrow. Sure that is because Bham's airport is small. Lot of bammers flying out of Atl I would guess.
