I know the claims to three national titles are dubious, just as Alabama's to 12 are. I have no argument because YOU'RE RIGHT!

That's true, but at the same time I think we can look at a title like Bama's in 79 and say that they were National Champions without a doubt.
I think that it's perfectly fine to claim an NC if you finished #1 in the AP or Coaches poll. Even USC in 03.

LSU has way too much talent to be on the decline. And if Les Miles doesn't do well next year, I hear he's going to get fired. Which would suck for everyone because LSU will actually find a coach that can win.
