Per capita meaning still less than everyone else. And is it mostly MS talent that go to other schools and out of state that go to the NFL?

Kansas is pretty weak. New Mexico comes to mind, and a surprise pick.....WA. They always have a few really good players, but no depth. Historically, half of UDub and Wazzou's rosters are from out of state

Louisiana has the new crown, congrats, (i thought we had it) but we are #2 which is still very good.

NFL PLAYERS PER CAPITA: Louisiana, with one NFL player for every 55,862 residents, led the list of NFL players per capita based on Kickoff Weekend rosters. Mississippi (1 in 67,730) and South Carolina (1 in 78,667) rounded out the top three. The national average is one NFL player per 166,031 U.S. residents.

STATES WITH MOST NFL PLAYERS PER CAPITA
Texas (20,851,820) – 179 – 1 NFL player per 116,491 people
Florida (15,982,378) – 176 – 1 NFL player per 90,809 people
Louisiana (4,468,976) – 80 – 1 NFL player per 55,862 people
Georgia (8,186,453) – 80 – 1 NFL player per 102,331 people
Alabama (4,447,100) – 53 – 1 NFL player per 83,908 people
South Carolina (4,012,012) – 51 – 1 NFL player per 78,667 people
Maryland (5,296,486) – 43 – 1 NFL player per 123,174 people
Mississippi (2,844,658) – 42 – 1 NFL player per 67,730 people
