Generalizations won't serve you well. I merely dispute claimed national titles that have questionable basis, and it is not out of line to do that.

The only one that could be disputed is 41. And I don't know why we claim that one. The others, it's quite safe to say, there was East Coast and Catholic bias against Southern schools and Bama more than proved their arguments by going undefeated and beating those teams in the Rose Bowl.
