Hernandez is good yes... great NFL talent... eh..
I dont see him as the..
Vernon Davis (freak)
Tony Gonzalez (consistent)
Antonio Gates (Receiving)
I see Hernandez, more of the Greg Olsen type. Not a conistent enough of a blocker to be a every down player. But good speed and body control for a big frame. I expect him to be used more of a move the chain go over the middle guy on third downs.

he's definitely one of the best athletes to come out of the TE position in awhile... talking about him makes me feel really bad for C. Ingram
To be honest, Hernandez has really made me completely forget about C.I. He was another great TE for the Gators. Seriously forgot about him.
I hope it continues with Gerald Christian. I hope he become our next good one.

Hernandez done after this year?
I'd say 70% yes.
He could go in the 1st round if not the 2nd round easy.
Check out what this "so called scout" says.

Underclassman gone bye-bye?
One performance that really caught my attention this past weekend was that of Florida TE Aaron Hernandez. Hernandez finished with five catches for 83 yards and two touchdowns vs. Florida State and also displayed the ability to line up on the outside and easily create separation against the Seminoles’ best cover man, CB Patrick Robinson. Hernandez is a gifted athlete for his size and showcases the burst to quickly get on top of defenders and the speed to get down the seam. However, it’s his body control and balance as a route runner that consistently allow him to cleanly get out of his breaks and separate vs. man coverage. The guy also does a great job after the catch and looks like a H-back/TE that you can split out and create a lot of mismatches with in the pass game at the next level.

You are stretching it with your man crush.
This guy is a late 2nd round, more than likely 3rd or 4th round type this year.
Best bet is to stay in school and show that he is a super consistent pass catcher, and make up for his smaller size
Best chance is FB, to be honest IMO

LOL, man crush? WTF is that? Probably more has to do with you not liking him.
We shall see. I see him going in the late 1st or somewhere in the 2nd round. I don't see him going to the 3rd, if somehow he does he would be a steal.
Hernandez is so much better than C.I., better in route running, more athletic and is a bigger threat. C.I. was injured his whole last year and still went in the 3rd round.
This one scout that i talk to, also thinks he could go in the late 1st or 2nd round.
I really hope he stays at Florida another yet. But lets see who is right or wrong. I dare you to book mark this thread and bring it backup when he gets drafted. Thats if he doesn't come up with some sort of drug test or gets injured.

I will eat my crow when it comes to it, but rarely are 6'2" 250lb Tight Ends considered a sure thing for a 1st rounder. Wesley Saunders will go higher than him I am sure, best NFL TE in the SEC.

Dex I thought the other day when I told you that McShay thought Javier Arenas was a first round draft pick you said he was an idiot who lived in his mother's basement?

Do the same as i told the other guy.
I dare you to break back this thread when Arenas gets drafted. You will be waiting awhile on draft day.
It sure won't be in the 1st round. This is a bad year for CBs. If i were picking i wouldn't want to take one in the 1st round. There are just much better players. I'd rather take a OG than a CB in the 1st round. A guy like Iupati. That guy is going to be a freaking steal if he doesn't go in the 1st.
Now, 2011 will be a good year for taking a CB early. Or WR.
But yeah "Crede15", if you think you know so much. Please do bring back this thread when Arenas gets drafted since you were so set on thinking he would get drafted in the 1st round or early in the 2nd. I'll be the one laughing.

He is going to be a big time threat in the NFL. This guy is for real.
He reminds me of Dallas Clark in that I could see him lining up at WR with success at times.

Do you try this hard to be a moron? I never said he would be drafted in the first round, my exact quote was "I doubt he'll be drafted in the first round."
I simply said some mock drafts had him going in the first round, you said no credible analysts had him going in the first round, I said Todd McShay did and you proceeded to attack his credibility as a draft analyst and implied that he had no home of his own.
Now that Todd McShay says something you agree with about a Florida player he's all of a sudden a draft guru again.
