Call timeout immediately after third down -- not 17 seconds later -- and LSU would've had time to kick 2 or 3 field goals to win it.

"The want to call a timeout was not communicated to down the field." Uh huh.

not only did miles get this wrong but he had a chance to save his own arse again by getting the first down. i still cannot believe the confusion that took place after the first down. it was like our coaches and players had absolutely no faith we would get it.

But, the game problems were much more than the last few seconds of the game.

I did not understand what he was doing by not calling a timeout earlier. It was almost like Les was thinking ahead so much he was out-thinking himself.

"OK, we need to run this down to 0:09 and just throw a Hail Mary into the end zone for a TD so Ole Miss doesn't have enough time to drive back down the field on us."

Verne: "What are they doing? What are they doing!"

Two plays before JJ spiked it the kicking team should have been rearing to run on the field and kick it. But that was obviously not the case.

Isn't he from Ohio? Sometimes I think English might be his second language.

If it's any consolation, that was probably the most perfectly executed onside kick ever. Damn, Lafell almost broke it all the way, too.

It's Lafell's fault. All this could have been avoided if he had only run the onsides kick back all the way

Not really, it just makes you feel worse. I highly doubt we'll ever execute one better than we did right there and it was all for nothing.
