How long can trout filets stay in the refrigerator?

I fileted my trout yesterday (Wednesday) at noon and put them in the refrigerator. How long can they stay in the fridge before I eat them or freeze them? I say 24 hours, but others say longer. What it is?

Went yesterday and limited out for the 2 of us. Fileted yesterday at noon and I have them in Ziplock bag in the fridge. I forgot, how long they can stay in the fridge before they are eaten or frozen??

I am surprised that there don't seem to be any power outages in south Louisiana being reported. Would this be more prevalent if it were a wet snow? I am not wishing this on anyone, just curious.

Thank you. I went through that with both my parents about 10 years ago.
My mother got lost one day and was so freaked out that when she finally got home, she just handed us the keys. My father, an ex-marine drill sergeant, was not so compliant.
