Tebow vs Mallett comparison (for those wondering)

10 games played against #14 Strength of Schedule
#3 in SEC Total Offense = 2,334 yards
22 Total TDs (12 Pass, 10 Rush)
#10 in NCAA QB Rating
4 INTs
Mallett
10 games played against #7 Strength of Schedule
#1 in SEC Total Offense = 2,847 yards
25 Total TDs (23 Pass, 2 Rush)
#3 in NCAA QB Rating
4 INTs
And the reason people will pick Tebow over Mallett come All-SEC picks:
Florida defense = 233.9 yards/game and 10.5 points given up per game
Arkansas defense= 412 yards/game and 25.5 points given up.
Too bad they don't give the award based on individual performance.

I've said all year Mallett is a better QB than Tebow.

I gave up caring about post season player awards when Jason White won the Heisman in 03. Fitzgerald is one of the best WR's in the game right now and Eli is one of the best QB's. Jason White is working at a ranch in OK right now.
Just win ballgames and nothing else matters.
ETA: Don't take this as a flame. I recognize Mallett's accomplishments.

A lot of truth there.
We could also argue P. Manning should have won Heisman over Woodson. If Woodson is not at Mich, he doesn't sniff the Heisman.

Tebow's 10-0 and what is Mallet again? That's what I thought. Brees has better stats than Manning, Brady and Big Ben, but I would take those 3 over Brees anyday.

Tebow might be a better college QB but cmon now the dude throws sidearmed at times. My 10yr old cousin has better mechanics. He's one of the best college QBs in history though no doubt.

I'm predicting Mallett goes pro after the year. I believe he's better than some NFL qb's right now or can be with a year in a camp.
That guy is incredible. He has far surpassed what I thought he was capable. And what can you say about Petrino brothers and QB's coach Garrick Mcgee? What an amazing job they have done bringing this young man along from a physcial, emotional, maturity standpoint. Incredible story unfolding here. I just hope he stays one more year but I don't see it. I can almost gaurantee he moved ahead of Javon Sneed on the draft chart
