m2pro you are correct. Most people don't want to accept something like this. SEC fans just need to accept that Alabama is back and has one of the very best coaches out there running the show. It is your job to try and keep up with Alabama now, if you can.

Just like most Bama fans don't want to accept that talk about "tradition" and the last 50 years or whatever, while "editing" out the more troubling aspects of that history, in today's college football doesn't mean as much as it used to, especially when you haven't won an SEC championship yet, much less a National Championship.

I am a college football fan - I honor and respect (and envy) the hell out of Bama's past. However, I'm also a Nick Saban fan - the man who says all that matters is the next game, not what you did last year, even last game, much less 50 ago. I'm not "denying" anything about Bama. I'm just saying that your claim that the reason for Saban's amazing success at Bama the last TWO seasons (and admittedly the shine was taken off last season somewhat because of the 2 losses at the end) is because of Bama's "tradition" is not accurate.

You also have to include the bad and the ugly with Alabama tradition. A dark history of payoffs, probation and scandal. Six legit titles. Six Golden Flake championships. Hell, LSU could claim three more using the same criteria that Bama uses. Your championships have come with a hefty price tag. LSU's championships and tradition come with a clear conscience.
