Hey Gumps, don't blame LSU fans for having eyes.

Blame the SEC officials who made a pitiful series of one-sided calls culminating in one of the worst and most game-effecting calls any of us have ever seen.

The SEC haters are now working OVERTIME to undermine your legitimacy.
This was done to LSU in both 2003 and 2007.
It's not unusual.

East Coast sportswriters and BCS-haters and those tired of SEC dominance will start on Monday to undermine the credibility of your team.

LSU fans, overwhelmingly, although we know we got jobbed, will be on your side of this debate.

It is not your fault that SEC officials are incompetent.

It is not your fault that this incompetence will give rise to conspiracy theorists.

Defending the indefensible would be a really poor strategy for Gumps to take.

My advice to you:
1. Condemn the officiating, acknowledge it and demand better.
2. win your games-that shuts people up.

Wait till the chattering class starts up Monday morning. they are going to skewer Bama, and savage the SEC.
Thick skin is recommended.

Lets agree that Bama is Championship- worthy.
And lets agree that the SEC officials are JOKES.

That. I can't blame Alabama (or Florida) for playing the game and having the officials kiss their arse. It's not the teams' faults, it's the conference itself. Which is a damn shame because they're fricking up some good football games.

Funny, b/c as i wrote it i kept thinking about the LUDICROUS personal foul call against arky in the Arky-UF game.

And I give BAMA all the credit in the world.
They won the game.
And the officiating was TYPICALLY ABYSMAL.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

the west coast press will be even worse. They are already at it. The pac-10 has a huge hard on for the SEC, and this is fueling their fire and sadly giving their rants more credibility.

If I were a Bama fan I'd be pissed at the calls. Their win is slightly tainted now, and they were going to win either way.

My apologies. I read the first sentence in this thread and thought it would be another thread whining about how Bama paid the refs.

Read the whole thing though. Good post

PTI tomm..
Colishaw...
ESPN wankers

Gumps are gonna learn like we did in 2003 & 2007 how it feels to be told your team is "tainted" while some other team is worthy.

It's gonna be ugly.

plus, this stuff fits into a lot of the negative stereotypes people have about the south. Corrupt, unintelligent, good ol' boys club.
