Meyer is mormon? Did Notre Dame know this prior to offering him a job?

Last time I checked Coach W is not mormon nor is the Univ. of Utah. That would be BYU.

I was just reading last night, that Coleman and RR talk via notes almost daily. she is in his corner. He keeps telling Michigan folks that nobody takes losing harder than himself. That he inherited a mess from Carr, gonna take some time.

I was always cool with Bill Curry. Stallings won with his players.

If Joe Paterno's pacemaker has a glitch, Bama and LSU might both be out of coaches.

You do realize that BYU is Kyle Whittingham's alma mater, right?

Any LSU fan that would protest Petersen due to his Scientologist status, or Whittingham due to his Mormonhood,is amiss imho. Both are topnotch.

IF, BIG, IF..but should LSU's HC job become open anytime soon, my top 4..in no set order of preference..

Chris Petersen
Brian Kelly
Nick Saban
Jon Gruden

I feel any of the four at an LSU sized platform, are safe calls(especially Saban obviously), and could at minimum, keep the ship on course..a few could possibly even take it to new higher levels. Gruden, due to no previous college HC gigs, is the biggest risk of the lot.

Nick Saban

Then

Rich Rod.- Still a good coach, not have to pay him much given that he was just got fired, his system just doesn't fit at Michigan. I would like to see what he could do with Shepard.

I'm not just saying it due to Michigan's troubles, but little tells from his days at WVU..

There are at least 8 to 10 HC candidates for an LSU HC opening that I'd prefer.

I don't know that I've ever seen at least one really good defensive team under RR as HC, anywhere.

Patterson has been in my top 6 to 10 range of potentials for LSU for most of this decade.

Teaches strangling D..and that sells well with LSU's fanbase.
