1979 USC, especially when Steve Ensminger hit Leroid Jones over the middle for 6 from about 15 yards out. Put LSU up 12-3.
No other sporting event I've attended in 50 years compares with LSU-USC 79. Anyone there knows.

USC game at LSU in '79...incredibly loud, even more insane is how this level of noise was sustained for the entire game, and another 20-30 minutes after the game.
