How ridiculous is the Florida vs Alabama in Atlanta hype?

Both offenses are sputtering. Florida's defense has not really proven anything against a great offense. Arkansas scored plenty of points to the game and that is the only competent offense Florida has faced.
Alabama is winning games ugly and while that is fine for a while it rarely lasts a whole season. No way we are undefeated unless GMAC improves. I would much rather clinch the west before people start punching our ticket to Atlanta.
If South Carolina gets hot they could make to Atlanta. Florida could lost to State or UGA and then have to win at SC.

Just win baby. It's ugly but effective so far.

The gators have to play better against SCar for sure.

Has the trade deadline expired yet? We need some WRs.

I have no idea who should be instead. At this point though we are a few pieces of the puzzle short from being an automatic undefeated SEC champion and so is Florida. We can win ugly Saturday, but after the bye week we better come out a much improved team. And if we do not improve at the qb position during the week we need to shut our offense down like last year and just go with two or three tight ends and try to run the ball. And set up play action.

Keep the BenGay and Whirlpool handy for Ingram and you'll probably be okay.

I have no doubts about our QB IF we're throwing short routes for a while to get his feet back under him. Whether it's him or the playcalling, the long bombs need to stop for a quarter or two.

Correct... Where is our short passing game? Did we abandon it because Julio dropped the curl against Ole Miss? We have got to get more curls, quick slants, screens and draws.

Oh I should have stated with that comment that if we are going to need to do that... Upchurch has to healthy or Richardson needs to be more than a raw talent. Richardson needs to be a player that we would have in the game on a third and seven because he could run a draw, screen, or pass block.
That will take some throwing him to the wolves in my opinion. But it would be a bigger risk to have Ingram take 98% of the meaningful carries. Because if Ingram goes down with an injury from being abused enter Richardson a player who we have been protecting.

with that said, and IMO, Nov 7 won't be a good day for said matchup, the hype is legit. A potential #1 vs #2 in the SEC title game is pretty awesome.

I don't think the hype is ridiculous. There is a very good chance the two teams will meet up in Atlanta. There's nothing wrong with looking towards a possible matchup. Nothing is set in stone, and I think most people know that.

Yeah, it's gonna be #1 Florida against #2 LSU after we stomp Bama's nuts on the road...

That is the good thing florida has working for them. They have a two game lead on everyone in the East. Even though i would afraid to drop a game then have to go to USCe and have to win there for a trip to atlanta. That is exactly the kind of situation Spurrier has been waiting for

the refs will make sure its FLA vs ALA in the title game, SEC wants two BCS teams, one in the Nat'l title, for that extra ca$h. Gotta live up to that fat ESPN contact right? why would the refs let Ark win, when they can magically spot balls beyond first down markers and call BS personal fouls to keep FLA undefeated?

Yeah i bet these "suspended refs" receive a briefcase full of cash on their doorstep for helping keep FLA undefeated and alive for the large BCS payout
