Can anyone not wanting to flame explain to me why we wouldnt throw it to him over the middle when we know that is where he is most dangerous?
a lot of times, this occurs because the offense is set up to help out a young QB.

McElroy is playing great, but he doesn't have much experience. The coaches are probably cutting the field in half, having him throw to the sidelines on short/intermediate routes (if what you say is accurate).

I haven't watched Bama play that much this season, but tell me... has McElroy thrown to the middle of the field much at all -- with the exceptions being slants, screens and deep balls off play-action?

Not to my knowledge, most have been fades or stopngo routes deep along the sidelines the closest to hitting anything over the middle has been Peek and he was standing in the middle of the field against OM without anyone within 15yds and he never looked at him.
