What do you people think of this? This is an official push by the ASB and University to replace, "The South Will Rise Again" with "To Hell With LSU".

I can't think of any other school that would include another school in their often played fight song, even against teams not named LSU. I think this is fricking stupid.

A&M has "to hell with Texas University" in the song somewhere, but even they didn't change the name of the thing.

It is not our fight song.

And the only reason this came about was because they are trying to stop the students from saying "The South Will Rise Again" at the end of "Slow Dixie"

It IS silly and I am sure it will not go anywhere......oh, and.....Go To Hell, LSU!

Bama includes Georgia Tech (and maybe one other school) in their fight song - leftovers from the days when Tech was in the SEC.

UGA's fight song includes "and to hell with Georgia Tech"

It isn't common, but it certainly isn't unheard of. That being said, OM will always be OM and no matter what the powers that be do, ban most versions of Dixie, ban the southern cross, get rid of Col Reb remove "the south will rise again" that attitude and specter will always be there. They may as well embrace it, or else they lose one of the best parts about SEC football - the tradition.

Georgia Tech has the coolest fight song of all. They brag of 'drinking my whiskey clear!"

And claim to be 'hell of an engineer'

And say "TO HELL WITH GEORGIA, like his daddy used to do."

Caterpillar. you go to Ole Miss. How many people have you heard saying they will change what they say at the end of Dixie?? I'm under the impression that the fans that are offended by it probably don't even stay long enough to hear it. already have "go to hell lsu" in our pregame, definitely don't need it in our postgame.

That's just weak...Ole Miss should be better than that. I can understand it from A&M but an SEC school?
