I heard them say on the radio the other day that this will be the first time that he has ever been to Bryant Denny Stadium. I find this hard to believe, does anybody know if this is true?

I think the 1990 game was in BDS.

Doesn't sound possible to me. He was there for 10 years or so. Surely you were on the schedule for a home game during that time.

Quite likely. Didn't y'all play a lot of games in B'ham in the 90's?

Not true. He lost there as a soph QB in 1964 and won in 1990 as coach, which he maintains was one of his biggest wins at Florida because at the time it was unexpected of the Gators to beat Alabama on the road (even though they had done that in 1987 ). Still,it was a big win for Florida.

He also coached there in 1998 vs Alabama.

Does the SEC Office ever allow Bama to schedule a UF team worth a shite?

I know what you're getting at, but this is too easy, BT. Those two teams have had some epic battles in the SECCG

I was at the 1990 game (Stallings 1st year)Florida won 17-13 i think. I'm pretty sure spurrier was coaching.

Yes, Spurrier was the coach in 1990. I thought that game was in BDS. Will White and Ernie Mills had a big Day. One of Florida's biggest wins ever.

The 1990 game was a close one, the 35-0 game was in 1991 in The Swamp, Siran Stacey couldn't run to save his life that night.

I grew up in geneva watching Siran Stacey and I was scared he would run all over Florida. Florida dominated in The Swamp that night.
