Well its Friday so i figured I'd make a thread that didn't involve last minute smack-talking to each other. So this is a video for those who are either bored, or like me enjoys history and loves seeing old footage of college football. Getting a glimpse of what stadiums and uniforms used to look like and such.
The Story behind 2001
My favorite part is when ESPN didn't want to show it but Joe Morrison said if they don't show it we don't show up on the field.

I'm still trying to figure out how that '84 team lost to Navy...

I guess we overlooked them after beating UGA...

You mean for one of the 14 wins in over 60 tries?

The music is not "2001"
"Also sprach Zarathustra" written in 1896.
It's like refering to "The Ride of the Valkyries" as "Apocolypse Now".
Buncha hicks.

Lots of hostility in this thread.
I guess they're still PO'd about SC being ranked and UGA out of the polls in God knows how long.

Nice link... I do love "2001" during the big games. The best ever was the 2001 Clemson game. WOW!

Yeah, but 2001 sounds so much cooler.

= Elvis did it one night, and it sounded sort of cool, so we decided to do it too.

Coming from the one in a million Tigers, with the one in a million "Tiger Rag"

Except that the Tiger name comes from a Louisiana Civil War unit, and the Tiger Rag comes out of New Orleans. Regarding Death Valley, I think we can both agree on this ... frick CLEMSON!!!

I was living and working in radio in Columbia when they filmed 'The Program' at Williams-Brice.
It was pretty cool watching them film the football scenes during the halftime of the USC/UT game.
I was just out of HS, dating a Coquette and generally having a pretty good time around Columbia...even though SLED made that exceedingly difficult. lol
The stadium was pretty cool...and I always kinda liked the Space Odyssey intro.

Damn, I had to look that up.

For me, it's Cocky's performance that makes the pre-game entrance so worth it...
