At Vandy they have a big screen near the stadium where you can watch a top SEC game in progress. Sure enough the UGA/LSU game was on and a bunch of Rebel fans were there cheering for Georgia and hating on LSU. When UGA scored their go ahead TD all the Ole Miss fans yelled "LSU is over rated and finished". When Scott broke off tackle to win the game the poor Ole Miss fans looked pitiful. They just shook their head as one Rebel yelled out how much he hates LSU and Miles. Af few of us LSU fans yelled loudly with a lot of Vandy fans.

Ole Miss fans are obsessed, before i lived in Mississippi i didn't care much about them either way, but their fans would take a 1-11 season with a win against LSU vs an 11-1 season w/o. They hate losing to Miss. State as much as to LSU but don't care as much about beating them.

bullshite. Get over yourselves. Most of our fans may absolutely HATE LSU, but you're flat out stupid if you think this is true.

We beat you last year and you guys were probably our 3rd best win.

Oh cmon you know it's true, Ole Miss always plays their hearts out against LSU more than any other game because it's their super bowl. It's like how Arkansas used to be for Texas.

yea....A bunch of guys who have followed Ole Miss football for a grand total of 2-3-4 and occasionally 5 years hold 60 years worth of LSU hatred

Get over yourself. LSU is important to us in a rivalry sense.......but not NEAR as much as you make it out to be.

The missing road map to Atlanta is WAY more important too us. And I think the grand majority of Ole Miss fans want to beat Bama more than they want to beat LSU.

Could be. Could also be that fans like to think they are the envy of other fans. Just like many Ole Miss fan's believe what you just said about MSU.............although MSU DOES have posters of what few egg bowl victories they have plastered all over their locker room.

I will say Memphis thinks of us that way though.....and Deangelo Williams admitted to it on Live TV during the game.

I agree, I'd rather beat Alabama this year than LSU.

But what I WILL say, is that I think most of the out-of-state kids at Ole Miss HATE lsu whereas they don't really mind state. I've always hated LSU (even when I didn't follow SEC football because I lived in Big XII country) but I don't really have a problem with Mississippi State.

I'm just reporting the obsessed Ole Miss Fans I saw at Vandy yesterday going crazy like they had just won the SEC when UGA went ahead with a minute to go. I don't see any obsession on this thread.

Dude people on both sides are obsessed and it makes no sense. I think some LSU and Ole Miss fans act this way because they think they have to hate each other in order to be a so called fan.

Wow, that's funny. It reminds me of a week ago at an LSU fan's house after the State/LSU game when the news broke that Tebow had gotten injured and could possibly miss some games because of it. LSU fans high-fiving and congratulating each other for a victory over Florida was a pretty embarrassing sight to see.

Cheering for a player going down to injury<Cheering for a division and school rival losing an SEC game.

OM is irrelevant. Always will be. And their current situation is proof. The quality of players will only go down once the Ed O recruits leave. Sure Nutt is a better coach but the end results will be the same – No trips to Atlanta.

I defintely think Ole Miss fans hate LSU more than any other opponent. When I was at LSU in 1970, myself and five buddies went to South Bend for the first ever LSU/Notre Dame game. While there, I opened a Notre Dame student newspaper and there was a full page ad that said: Go Irish, Beat LSU, Signed, Ole Miss Student Body. I don't think they would have done that for anyone else. As a side note, the interference call on Richard Picou was a bad call. The game should have ended 0-0.
